Kate is a Tacoma-based artist, creating dreamlike collages that challenge perceptions of reality.

As a digital collage artist and freelance graphic designer with 9+ years experience in the design industry, Kate began her design career in the corporate world, creating for companies such as Amazon and Nordstrom. She now channels her focus into her own independent, esoterically minded pursuits. With a skillset ranging from digital fine art illustration, to logos and branding, instagram marketing, packaging and layout design, she currently works with conscious brands and businesses to give them a unique story and authentic identity, using design that’s engaging and purposeful. Her virtual shop features original art prints, a direction that was given a chance to bloom after she went 100% freelance. She lives in Washington state with her husband, two Suns, and dog named Denali.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The inspiration for my art is based on a mix of vintage and modern materials, meant to catapult the viewer into a dreamland of nostalgia. My hope is that it stirs something inside, jolting fragments of your subconscious mind awake and taking you to otherworldly places that exist outside of this dimension. A welcomed remembering of past existence and experience more so than a new perception, for the dream realm knows no limitations of time and space.
